Terms of Use

Quant Data Backup is a personal desktop research utility operated by Xavier Liang. This website describes the application; it does not provide a publicly hosted backup service or sell storage.

Intended use

Use the application only with Google accounts, local files, and market data you are authorized to access and store. Your use of Google Drive and any source data remains subject to the relevant provider's terms and applicable data licences.

Your responsibilities

You control the source files, Google account, available storage, and backup actions. Keep your computer and account secure, review task results, and retain appropriate independent copies of important data.

Backup behaviour and availability

Transfers can be interrupted by network, disk, account, or storage problems. A completed transfer check confirms the copied file contents; it does not establish that the market data is complete, accurate, or current. Earlier file versions may consume additional Drive space until you remove them.

This personal utility has no paid service plan or uptime commitment. Functionality may change as the local application and its dependencies are maintained.

Stopping use

You can stop local backup tasks and revoke Google access at any time. Revocation does not remove existing backups. The Privacy Policy explains data retention and deletion.
